Very little high end stuff seems to be sold on Ebay as an auction anymore. In a case like that Reverb will just suggest to “sort it out” with the seller and if all fails file a claim with PayPal. Ebay on the other hand, has true buyer protection where it holds the seller responsible if your item is different than described or arrives broken and so on. If you buy from reverb or just through PayPal you are protected 100% exactly the same. The biggest thing though, that if people really understood would end Reverb altogether, is that there is no Reverb buyer protection.
